Celebrating 60 years of Love

In this blog post I want to share something quite personal and special to me. My Grandparents just had their 60th Wedding anniversary and I was lucky enough to photograph them last year at their home together…
This photo was taken in my grandpa’s beloved garage, where he spend a lot of his time; my grandmother Dorothy is the only person that can find missing items in this extensive garage and workshop. My Grandpa Ron could fix anything in here, a skill that has sadly been lost in newer generations where we are more likely to buy a new one than fix something.
For me this photograph is especially emotional because of the loving embrace and expressions on their faces. I can’t remember exactly what I said to them to achieve this natural embrace, but I think it was something along the lines of “Pretend you could show Grandma just how much you love and appreciate her just by holding her…” I’m so grateful to have this moment captured photographically.

I treasure and aspire to have a love with my husband that could last 60 years ☺ Xx Beth
