Fairfield Boat House – Vintage Feature Wedding
Their story: James and Emily are high school sweethearts, they have been dating since they were 18, so this wedding was a long time in the making…
On the day: They wanted their wedding to have a Vintage Classic feel, so the Fairfiled Boat House was a perfect choice with it’s heritage buildings and intimate atmosphere. They also included James’s Dad’s Vintage UTE’s in the photo shoot, which were in immaculate condition and looked amazing. There was a real family vibe to the entire wedding with James’s brother’s in the bridal party and the photographs being taken at the family home they grew up in. I’m sure that will make the photographs even more special as time goes by…
They also did a lot of DIY for the wedding, preparing their own flowers from the south Melbourne Market, preparing all the ceremony and reception decorations and preparing an ipod playlist for the reception dancing. Even the Orange VW Emily arrived in was one of James’s dad’s prized vehicles.
Emily and James didn’t stray far for photographs utilising the surrounding river, paddle boats, arboretum and trestle bridge. That way they could head quickly back to the party for speeches and dancing with their closest family and friends.
